Daryl Drabinsky

Conference Co-Chair, Marketing

Daryl is managing marketing for the 2009 Annual WWIB Conference.

Daryl Drabinsky is a 2nd year MBA student majoring in Marketing and Strategy. She spent the summer at McCann Erickson's San Francisco office, interning in their Digital Innovation and Strategy and Analytics Groups. In addition to her WWIB duties, Daryl serves as Co-President of the Early Career Club, and as an Editor of the Wharton Journal.

Prior to Wharton, Daryl interned for various media companies, including CityTV, the London Times, Focus Features, and Alliance Atlantis. Daryl graduated from Northwestern University in 2008 with a BA in Political Science. Amongst other activities, she founded Northwestern's branch of 85 Broads, the women's business affinity group.

Dhaarna is managing the 2009 Annual WWIB Conference Sponsorship and Logistics.

Dhaarna Mehta is a 2nd year MBA student majoring in Finance and Strategy. She spent the summer at Goldman Sach’s New York office, interning in their Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group. In addition to her WWIB duties, Dhaarna is heavily involved in Wharton activities, serving as the Vice President of the Finance and Vegetarian Clubs, a Community Service officer, and a TA for the Communications course. She also helped organize the 2008 Energy Conference and performed as a cast member in the Wharton Follies Show.

Prior to Wharton, Dhaarna spent eight years in Corporate Finance, Treasury, and Accounting with Sunoco, Citi, and Deloitte. She is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelors in Commerce with honors degree from University of Delhi.

Elan Wang is a 2nd year MBA student majoring in Marketing and Strategic Management. She spent the summer as a product marketing intern at Microsoft. In addition to her WWIB duties, Elan is heavily involved in community service activities and is the recipeint of the 2009 Ben Franklin Spirit of Philadelphia Award for her commitment to the Philadelphia and Wharton communities. Prior to Wharton, Elan worked in a diversity of roles, ranging from portfolio management to animal behavior field research. Most recently, she managed membership and communications for the Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, an international youth leadership and service learning program. Elan earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Helen is currently a second year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, she worked as an Executive Compensation Consultant and then as a Reinsurance Intermediary. She spent the summer working as an Associate with Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management in New York. At Wharton, she's Co-President of Wharton Women in Business and is also a Leadership Fellow. In her spare time she enjoys running, playing squash, practicing yoga, spending time with friends, following the markets and connecting people in her network to their mutual benefit.

She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors degree in The Biological Basis of Behavior.

Jean is currently a second year student majoring in Marketing. At Wharton, she is one of the Co-Presidents of Wharton Women in Business, a Leadership Fellow, a member of the Dean's Graduate Student Advisory Committee, and a Marketing TA. During the summer, she interned at Wetpaint, a tech startup company that is based in Seattle and backed by the same ventures that support Facebook. Prior to business school, she worked as a Consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in the Dallas office.

Jean graduated summa cum laude with a Psychology degree from Rice University. She grew up in Vancouver, Canada and enjoys media arts, food, road trips, and board games.

Charlene is currently a 2nd year student at The Wharton School and is pursuing a dual major in Marketing and Management. Prior to Wharton, she was a Consultant with L.E.K. Consulting in Los Angeles where she focused primarily on the media and entertainment, consumer products and retail industries. She also served as an AmeriCorps VISTA, working as a manager in development for a nonprofit organization. During the summer, she interned with The Clorox Company in Oakland, CA as a Brand Marketing intern. At Wharton, Charlene holds positions as the Co-President of Wharton Women in Business, Leadership Fellow and Omnicom Communication Fellow.

Charlene graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Neha is currently a second year MBA student at Wharton (class of 2010). Prior to Wharton, Neha spent five years at Deloitte LLP working within Audit, Risk Advisory and Consulting. The bulk of her experience was advising financial institutions, utilities, pharmaceutical and TMT companies on topics ranging from risk assessment and valuation to financial performance and operational improvements. More recently, Neha spent the summer working as an intern within the Corporate Finance function at Novartis.

Neha holds a Bachelors degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (2003). She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New York and a CFA charterholder.

Renee graduated from Duke University in 2005 with a BA degree in Public Policy. Following graduation, she joined Triage Consulting Group, San Francisco, CA, a boutique health care consulting firm. As an Associate, Renee managed a team of employees to assess hospital revenue loss and implement solutions to prevent future financial losses. She was then granted the unique opportunity to help found and develop the company’s second office in Atlanta, Georgia. In this position, she performed sophisticated financial reporting, audit techniques and reimbursement analysis on managed care volume at eight major hospital organizations in California, Texas, Georgia and Oregon, recovering over $6M

In 2008, Renee returned to a single hospital system, Duke Hospital, in Durham, North Carolina as a business analyst. At Duke Hospital, she championed performance improvement activities to analyze and improve patient flow through clinic. In her summer before joining Wharton Business School, she worked as an intern in the Office of Public Engagement in the White House under Valerie Jarrett. As a White House intern, she worked on health care reform. Renee enjoys photography and traveling to foreign countries. She is also a diehard Duke Basketball fan.

Nushin graduated as a Trustee Scholar from the Wharton School in 2003 and subsequently earned an MA in Arabic as National Security Education program fellow. Her experience includes consulting for healthcare and financial services firms, and helping launch Syria’s first public relations company. Most recently, she served as an American diplomat in Beirut and received the Meritorious Honor Award for outstanding performance during crisis. She also worked with NGOs across the Middle East and India to promote financial empowerment of women and refugees. Nushin is currently pursuing a MBA/MA degree at the Wharton School, and speaks Arabic and Indian dialects.

Ranjita Iyer is a first year MBA student at Wharton. She is originally from Sydney Australia but has been living in New York the last several years. Before Wharton Ranjita worked at Morgan Stanley in their IT risk and compliance group. In this role she worked with multi-functional groups to drive key IT risk initiatives across the organization. Besides her involvement in WWIB Ranjita is a member of the Technology, Finance, General Management and Australia/New Zealand clubs. Ranjita earned her bachelor's degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and MS from NYU.

Pratibha Bajaj is a second year MBA student at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is pursuing a major in Finance. Prior to Wharton, she worked for The Boston Consulting Group in Mumbai and The National Knowledge Commission, a think-tank of the Government of India in New Delhi. This summer Pratibha worked for Beckman Coulter Inc, a leading medical devices company as a business development intern.

Sara is member of the Wharton MBA Class of 2011, majoring in Strategic Management and Accounting.  Prior to Wharton, she spent over three years in Merrill Lynch’s Corporate Finance Investment Banking Group in New York and London.  While at Merrill Lynch, she worked primarily on capital structure, financing, restructuring, and specialty M&A engagements with clients across a variety of industries and sectors.

Previously, Parisa was a Consultant within Accenture’s Retail & Consumer Strategy practice. She spent the past summer at Telsey Advisory Group, where she conducted retail-focused equity research. Shweta is currently a second year student at Wharton, majoring in Finance and Strategic Management. Prior to Wharton, she cumulatively spent almost 4 years in Consulting. Most recently she was an Analyst with McKinsey & Company, where she worked primarily with financial institutions across U.S and Asia on topics ranging from Strategy, Organization redesign to Operations improvement. Before McKinsey, she worked as a Compensation and Benefits Analyst with Hewitt Associates. Shweta spent her summer interning in the Strategy and Change, Internal Practice with IBM in Manhattan. She enjoys yoga, photography and traveling.

Divya is a first year student at Wharton, planning to major in Strategic Management and Marketing. Prior to Wharton, she worked as a Consultant in the internal strategy group of Capital One, a top 10 U.S. bank, where she worked on a range of long-term strategic projects, which included impacting key market entry/exit decisions, developing marketing strategies, and investing in technological innovations. In addition, Divya was a Development Chair of Capital One’s Women’s Analyst Network. In her free time, Divya enjoys singing, traveling, and working with an NGO that educates underprivileged children in India. Suhitha is currently a first year Wharton MBA student, planning to major in Multinational Management and Finance. Prior to joining Wharton, she worked as an Investment Analyst in the Infrastructure Department at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington, DC. During her time there, she analyzed several private equity and debt transactions in the power and transport sectors globally.

Prior to Wharton, Jessica was as a consultant for the Global Health Solutions Practice at the Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). She was awarded CSC’s “Making a Difference Award” for her leadership and teamwork at the world’s leading hospitals, health insurance companies and pharmaceutical organizations.

Jenny is a first year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, she worked for General Electric, first in its Financial Management Program and later as an Associate Account Manager at GE Capital. While at GE, Jenny was very active in a number of community service programs and in 2009 worked with volunteers from GE, IBM, and HSBC to organize the 2009 Asian Leadership Summit held in New York City.

Melody Moon is a first year MBA student at Wharton, majoring in Strategic Management and Finance. In addition to WWIB, Melody is a Director of External Relations for the General Management Club and is also involved in the Healthcare Club and Tennis Club. Prior to Wharton, Melody was an Associate in Ares Management's private equity group in Los Angeles, where she completed over $750 million of investments primarily in the building products, business services, retail and healthcare industries. Previously, she was an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse.

Kathleen Finlayson is a first year MBA student pursuing a joint major in Marketing and Operations Management. Prior to attending Wharton, she spent three years working in brand management at a consumer tech manufacturer in San Diego, CA. In this role, she was also responsible for the planning and execution of the largest digital photography trade show on the west coast. Kathleen graduated summa cum laude with her B.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from San Diego State University. She was born and raised in San Diego and loves cooking, baking, equestrian sports, art and history.

Kaity Jimenez is a first-year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, she was a Manager of Client Communications at The Nielsen Company in New York. In this role, she developed and executed communications strategies for Nielsen's television ratings division. She was an active member of Nielsen's Diversity Council and Asian Employee Resource Group.

Jaclyn Casavant is a member of the Wharton Class of 2010, majoring in Marketing and Strategic Management. In addition to helping out with this year's WWIB Conference, Jaclyn has heavily involved herself in MBA life, serving as President of the Philly Club, VP of Internal Affairs for the Wharton Early Career Club, Cohort G Leadership Development Representative, and a participant on the 2009 Caribbean Sailing Leadership Venture. This summer, she is doing consulting for the Southeastern Pennsylvania branch of a national non-profit organization. Prior to Wharton, Jaclyn co-founded a software-based startup that won accolades at several national business plan competitions. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2008 from Syracuse University where she dual majored in Marketing and Advertising with a minor concentration in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture.

Kara currently serves as President of the Wharton Partners Club as well as the Partners and Kids Club Member-at-Large on the WGA Executive Council. Before moving to Philadelphia Kara worked for Boston-based Wellington Management in Institutional Client Service with a specific focus on asset management for insurance companies. Prior to Wellington Kara worked in institutional equity sales and trading for Stephens, Inc. Kara graduated from Boston College in 2001 with a dual major in Political Science and Communications.

Julia was recently chosen as a Wharton representative to the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA).

Prior to Wharton, Julia was a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton where she was awarded the "Absolute Personal Best" Performance and Team Award and two "High 5" Awards for her professional achievements in leadership and teamwork.

Julia graduated from Northwestern University in 2005 with a major in Public Policy and a minor in Gender Studies.

Selina is a member of the Wharton MBA Class of 2011 with an intended major in Health Care Management. Prior to Wharton, Selina worked in a variety of roles primarily in the health care insurance industry. After earning her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and history at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2005, Selina joined L.E.K. Consulting as a strategy consultant in the health insurance vertical. In 2009, Selina became an operations manager at Alameda Alliance for Health, a Medicaid health insurance organization. During her time at Alameda Alliance, Selina also served as a part-time AmeriCorps Volunteer at HandsOn Bay Area, a volunteer management and coordination nonprofit.

Capital’s sponsored Chinese venture capital funds as well as fund-of-fund investments in the U.S. Before joining C.M. Capital, Amy was a consultant at Accenture.

Lauren is currently a second year student at Wharton. During the summer, she interned at Bain & Company in Chicago. At Wharton, Lauren holds positions in the Brewmaster’s Guild and Health Care Club. She also serves on the Ethics Committee. Prior to Wharton, Lauren worked in a variety of commercial and investment banking roles for Wachovia Capital Markets and Bank of America Corporation. She also served on the executive committee of Boston’s ULI Young Leaders Group and was a charter member of the Boston chapter of Soroptimist International.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Andrea Corejova is a second-year MBA student majoring in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance. Prior to Wharton, she spent five years with Grant Thornton LLP Audit and Advisory Services group, where she focused on integrated audits of SEC registrants in the financial services field. She spent the summer with Hershey’s International Finance group.

Andrea is a licensed CPA and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Baruch College and a M.S. in International Business from University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia. She is a power yoga enthusiast and an avid photographer.

Suchita Shah is second year student at Wharton majoring in Marketing and Operations. Over the summer she interned at Genentech, working with the Market Planning team. Prior to Wharton, she worked on combination medical device manufacturing at Abbott Laboratories in Southern California. She holds a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. She has always been an active member in women organizations both during her undergrad and work career, which is why she has joined the WWIB team. She is also active in the Wharton International Volunteer Program, the Volunteer Admissions Committee, and works as a Graduation Admissions Officer.

Camille is a first year MBA student. She moved to Philadelphia from San Francisco, where she spent six years at Gap, Inc. working in merchandise planning and distribution across several brands. She enjoys running, travelling, live music, and listening to NPR.

Gayathri is in her first year at the MBA program at Wharton. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from National University of Singapore and before coming to Wharton, she was working as a Sales Team Manager at the Retail Banking division of Standard Chartered Bank. Gayathri has volunteered in several community service initiatives before and intends to continue the same through her involvement in various clubs within Wharton and as a Community Service Chair. Salma is a first year MBA student planning to major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. Before she joined Wharton, Salma spent the last five years at UBS Wealth Management within an executive office working in a project management and strategy capacity. Part of her work included developing the initial plans of a 5800 employee organization, redesigning incentive compensation, and managing the implementation of an organizational restructuring. At Wharton, Salma is pursuing a joint degree with the Lauder Institute of International Studies, focusing on the Middle East and Arabic.

Lauren is currently a first year student and is pursuing a dual degree in Marketing and Strategy. In addition to being active in WWIB, she also serves as her cohort's community service representative. Prior to Wharton, Lauren spent four years working in marketing in the consumer packaged goods industry for Playtex Products, Inc. and Energizer Holdings - Energizer Personal Care Division. In these roles, she worked on developing and executing strategic marketing activities to support new product launches and grow the base business.

Lauren holds a BA in History from Vanderbilt University.

Christine Parker is a 1st year MBA student majoring in Finance and Strategic Management. As a CPA, Christine previously served as Controller for both large private and Fortune 200 real estate developers managing the finance, accounting, and HR functions. She has also worked in audit and finance for Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and other technology and real estate companies. In her spare time, she was actively involved in San Diego’s Women in Business, the Building Industry Association, distance running, cycling, and the performing arts. In addition to being a member of Wharton’s Class of 2011, Patricia is involved in the Wharton community through her role as volunteer for the Volunteer Admissions Committee and her work as Co-Director of Corporate Development – Latin America within the General Management Club.

Before coming to Wharton Patricia was living in Montevideo, Uruguay and working as a Senior Auditor for KPMG. During the four years she spent at the firm she specialized on Financial Institutions’ audits and Central Bank of Uruguay’s regulations’ compliance.

Patricia holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Montevideo.

Prior to Wharton, she spent two years as an analyst at Aisling Capital, a healthcare venture capital firm based in New York. Before Aisling, she worked as an Associate in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at HSBC and as a Financial Analyst in Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs. Marina is a first year MBA student majoring in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance. In addition to her involvement with the WWIB conference, Marina does IT and healthcare consulting at the Wharton Small Business Development Center and has recently participated in the Quantico Leadership Venture at the Marine Corps Base in Virginia.

Prior to Wharton, Marina worked in the principal investing group at Goldman Sachs, focusing on international structured transactions. She graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Certificate in Markets and Management. Marina was born in Minsk, Belarus and enjoys wine, travel and kite-surfing.

Petula Tse is a M.B.A./M.A. candidate at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Previously, Petula served as Business Development Manager at TCH, a Hong Kong-based startup with manufacturing operations in China. She also worked at Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division. This past summer she worked at the U.S. Treasury Department’s East Asia Office as a Rosenthal Fellow covering macroeconomic and financial sector issues affecting the region. Petula graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Business Economics and Political Science.

KC is a member of the Wharton MBA Class of 2011 with an intended major in Marketing. In addition to WWIB, KC is involved in the Marketing Club, General Management Club, Squash Club and Volunteer Admissions Committee, among other Wharton organizations.

Prior to Wharton, KC worked in public relations, managing brand awareness campaigns for beauty, fashion, lifestyle and celebrity clients. Through her work at PR agencies in New York and Los Angeles, KC played an integral role in a wide variety of strategic media campaigns and grand-scale marketing events. KC also leant her time to volunteer organizations including New York Cares and StreetSquash.

KC graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut in 2003 with a major in Economics and a minor in Legal Studies..

Prior to Wharton, Nina spent five years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts in hotel operations and marketing. Nina began her career in operations at The Westin Philadelphia, and then transitioned to two years in online marketing. Most recently, she worked in partnership marketing, managing relationships for Starwood’s loyalty program and the partnership with PepsiCo. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology and French from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kylee Rudd is a first year MBA student planning to major in Marketing and Operations Management. Prior to starting at Wharton, Kylee spent two years at Honda R&D Americas where she designed vehicle interiors, specifically working on the Honda Element and Honda Odyssey. Additionally, for the past eight months she has worked with a small Philadelphia-based non-profit organization managing conference and meeting logistics.

Aarthi is currently a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton, Aarthi spent four years at Deutsche Bank as an investment banker in the Structured Credit Products Group, where she focused on mortgages and credit cards. In addition, she was the New York City Coordinator for UNICEF’s Tap Project and a board member of the American India Foundation NY Young Professionals’ Chapter. Aarthi was recently awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her work with UNICEF.

Aarthi holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Previously, she worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank in New York.

Arathi holds a Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University where she graduated with majors in Finance and International Business and minors in Economics and Spanish.
