WHARTON WOMEN IN BUSINESS CONFERENCE

This year’s Conference celebrates the 28th anniversary of Wharton Women in Business (“WWIB”) by bringing together accomplished women from business, politics and the non-profit field. The panelists and keynote speakers include inspirational women who have courageously led organizations, scaled new heights, chosen unconventional paths and achieved personal fulfillment. It is a unique opportunity for current Wharton students and alumnae to interact and share experiences.

The conference will be held Thursday and Friday, November 2nd and 3rd, 2006 at the Bellevue Park Hyatt in downtown Philadelphia. On Thursday evening, November 2nd, we will kick off the event and our 28th anniversary celebration with a cocktail hour. Friday’s sessions will include inspirational keynote speakers and exciting panels with representatives from a diverse array of industries and professional functions. Throughout the conference, companies will be hosting private tea sessions to facilitate one-on-one interaction between company recruiters and MBA students. The Conference day will close with a Career Fair and a closing cocktail hour.

The WWIB Conference is sponsored by the Wharton Women in Business club (“WWIB”), a professional organization that strives to enhance the Wharton experience for all MBA women and foster camaraderie in the Wharton community. A main focus of the organization is to enhance women’s professional development by providing opportunities for career exploration, networking, and personal development. In conjunction with the Wharton Women’s Task Force, WWIB members are working to strengthen the connection among alumnae and between current students and alumnae. WWIB also coordinates activities in admissions.
