Leadership That Lasts: A Unique Perspective on Sustainability and Leadership for Women
Wednesday, 31 March 2010
When we hear the phrase “sustainable business practices”, most think of recycling, energy conservation, and how minimize their company’s carbon footprint. In other words, we associate sustainability only with preserving our earth’s environment. Although this filter of sustainability is critical, leaders are ignoring the realms of influence in which they can have much quicker and greater impact.

Working from a definition of sustainability that is both broader and much more personal, Colleen will lead a discussion on what sustainability means to us as women leaders, and how we must apply its principles to our organizations, our teams, and most importantly – ourselves.

Biography for Colleen Bracken, PCC
President, Bracken Leadership Concepts
Colleen Bracken is a veteran coach, group facilitator & speaker, specializing in communication & influence, effectiveness, and sustainable leadership. She has worked with organizations around the world, including AstraZeneca, the State of Pennsylvania, Lockheed Martin, Wharton Business School, Penn State University, the Johnson & Johnson companies, and many others to help create a culture of conscious leadership and high performing people.

Colleen is the president of Bracken Leadership Concepts, a boutique consulting and coaching company based in Philadelphia. She is past-president of the Philadelphia chapter of the International Coach Federation, and chairs a major global committee for that 16,000 member organization. She is a Master’s Degree candidate at the School of Organizational Dynamics at the University of Pennsylvania.
