International

WWIB has made large strides in providing women with opportunities to succeed both professionally and personally. The WWIB-International position helps to strengthen the WWIB network through fun and informative activities and to expose Wharton Women to the rich diversity of the Wharton class, University of Pennsylvania and of Philadelphia, in general.

Activities have included a Chinatown tour, coffee chats between first and second-year international students, restaurant week dinners and a group viewing of the Russian Moscow ballet performance of Cinderella. WWIB also plans to build a targeted effort to attract international prospective students by reaching out to international admits, that can’t attend Wharton Welcome Weekend, to address their questions and concerns. The WWIB-International position involves great food from around the world, world-class performances and exhibitions, and the expansion of WWIB’s international footprint.
