Community Service

WWIB Community Service organizes fun, meaningful service events that facilitate Wharton’s Women to meaningfully engage the Philadelphia community and apply time, effort and talent toward various social initiatives. Community service events are an opportunity to meet and interact with like-minded classmates who are passionate about serving their community and working closely with other women to create meaningful impact. WWIB focuses on connecting students with community organizations particularly focused on youth and women. Past events have included Pink Pub during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Suit Drives benefiting local charities, and other fundraisers aimed at female focused charities.

This year, WWIB’s initiatives include:

· Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October

· Partnering with youth organizations

· Sponsored team in Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure
